What does AI visibility mean?
AI visibility is whether AI systems — ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews — name your business when someone asks a question you should own. It is not the same as ranking. A page can sit first in Google and never appear in an AI answer, because engines quote sources they can parse, verify and attribute.
Is SEO dead after AI?
No — search is still the root. AI systems read the same web, use the same crawlers and reward the same signals: clean rendering, structured data, clear entities. What changed is the output: instead of ten links the user gets one answer with two or three sources. SEO makes you eligible. Being cited is a separate problem on top of it.
How do I get my business mentioned in ChatGPT?
Three things have to be true. A crawler can read your pages without executing JavaScript. Your business is described as a defined entity — who you are, what you sell, where, and what proves it. Your content is written in blocks an engine can lift whole. Our own case, Ventall, went from never mentioned to cited in ChatGPT in six weeks, with one external link.
How to check AI visibility?
Run a free 2-minute screening. It reports what search engines and AI systems can read on your site — crawlability, structured data, answer structure, speed and technical AI readiness. It measures the technical foundation; being cited is what gets built on top of it.
What is a good AI visibility score?
On our screening, below 50 means engines struggle to read the site at all. 50–85 is a normal maintained site. Above 85 means the technical foundation is no longer what holds you back. Ventall moved from 39 to 99 in six weeks — the score is the floor, not the result.
